Who we are
Detroit Power Detroit Community Outreach (DPDCO), formerly known as Elite Focus Community Outreach, provides community based youth and young adults supervised group homes, family homes, and scattered site apartments for ages 18 to 75-year-olds who cannot safely live with their own families, or on their own. Services are provided for up to 730 days in house with most cases, and longer stays are available on a case-by-case basis. Additionally we facilitate an outreach program specifically designed for disadvantaged youth ages 12 to 18-years-old.
We follow a 3-Phase Transitional Living Program to provide a safety net and strong emotional support system for our young people to achieve self-sufficiency and developmental skills to cope with therapeutic behavior issues. For the youth we partner with Accountability Counts to provide children with the following:
Homework help
Group tutoring
1:1 tutoring
Individualized help based on IEP
Intro to STEM based careers with coding, math, and science intensives
Standardized test prep
Mentorship
Wellness checks
Transportation to/from program
